Maple syrup and banana cupcakes

So one of my birthday presents was a baking book which I absolutely love! And a recipe that hit me right away was a maple and banana cupcake, with maple frosting and walnuts on top. They tasted so good!
Here's my cakes!

Halloween cupcakes

I so enjoyed making these and they're super cute. First used a basic cupcake recipe (130g self raising flour, 130g sugar, 130g butter, 2 eggs, half teaspoon vanilla essence).
After I mixed the ingredients they went in the oven at gas mark 4 for around 20 minutes. I also used cute cupcake cases I found in Asda.
They were green and had cobwebs. So cute!
These were the cakes when they came out of the oven. This is when you can get creative it's Halloween so I did witches hats, bats and mummies.

The little spiders came with the cupcake cases. I don't mind if they don't look perfect, everyone enjoys them so that's the main thing

Cupcake

-used a basic cupcake recipe. Depending on the oven it should take around 20 minutes to bake.

-decided to try a new frosting from the can, as I usually make my own but was too lazy.

-topped with wafer flowers to make them look more girly.
